Summit County Ohio Skywarn
Our group has three representatives that sit on the Steering Committee:

Bob is like the head of our group, and Pat and Chris follow thereafter. We don't specifically use titles in our
group. I handle correspondence pertaining to the group.
We are self-funded, that is, any expense incurred comes out of our pockets. We are investigating other sources for
funding for things like postage, envelopes, copies of correspondence, and rental fees at a local library. The
NWS-CLE office provides handout materials regarding spotter training and our County Engineer's Office has donated
county maps that are passed-out at the training sessions.
We advertise training sessions by word-of-mouth on local weekly nets, and packet radio. Two of our Net Control
Operators are retired (Cal KB8YPJ and yours truly KB8AMZ) and we cover any activity that may occur in the morning
and early afternoon. Pat N8OQP works midnight shift and sleeps from morning to early afternoon, and Bob N8QNJ and
Chris N8UKM both work dayshift. We have 24-hour coverage should severe weather develop.
